The oven
Wood fired,
every pizza
Every pizza here comes out of an Italian wood burning oven. It is the loudest, hottest corner of the kitchen and the reason the crust tastes the way it does: blistered, a little charred at the edge, done in the time it takes to pour a beer.
Margherita with Roma tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, pesto chicken, Italian sausage with roasted red peppers. Same oven, one after another, all night.

Since the fair
The Pasta King
Art Ibleto arrived in Petaluma in 1949 and later opened the Spaghetti Palace at the Sonoma County Fair. That is where he became the Pasta King.
In 2013 his family took over the Seasons Sports Bar on Rohnert Park Expressway and made it Art’s Place. That is the honest reason this room looks the way it does: the bar, the screens and the pizza oven were already standing, and an Italian kitchen moved in around them.
Art passed away in 2020, at 94. The kitchen still runs on his recipes.

Bringing a crowd?
We take reservations for large groups. Smaller tables are walk in. Javi and Nacho handle catering in house for gatherings beyond the dining room.
